Why Kennedy matters for Healthcare in the US

Healthcare in America is bedeviled by Pharma’s influence and Third Party vendors. Between them, they have created a toxic mix of profit based care that is so deeply entrenched it cannot be undone. The disadvantaged, people of color and women suffer the most under the yoke of what passes for healthcare in America. No one has the will or the political drive to restore patient based priorities in the delivery of care. That is, until now.

Que Robert F. Kennedy, junior. His announcement of his intention to run for president in the upcoming 2024 election was greeted with a mix of shock and horror, or so every media outlet would like you to believe. Contrary to what popular mainstream media are telling us, Kennedy is in fact exactly what the doctor ordered for America. Not only for it’s beleaguered healthcare system, but for the country as whole.

He is that singularly unique beast, a politician who isn’t really a politician, able to straddle the middle ground of independent American politics, sprouting common sense at every turn and in the process, drawing in support from both Republican and Democratic bases. Democrats deride him, Republicans don’t know what to make of him, and while the establishment chases its tail trying to ridicule and discredit him, the Kennedy train has left the station, and if polling is to be believed, is rapidly gaining momentum.

His timing is perfect. Large swathes of America are fed up with their politicians. They are aware as never before of being played continuously for political gain by both parties and the Covid pandemic mercilessly ripped the plaster from the festering wound of American society. America isn’t broken, it is simply fed up, and Kennedy is making all the right noises, however dangerous and radical they might sound.

Disassemble the mechanisms underpinning the glutenous military complex, curtail pharma and reclaim healthcare, spend American money on improving the lot of Americans rather than supporting foreign war efforts. His campaign is audacious and dangerous and he poses real risk to the entrenched establishment, for one simple reason.

He speaks the truth and has identified what lies at the root of America’s current societal imbalance. Profiteering. Unchecked and unbridled profiteering, for the benefit of politicians, corporations and wealthy individuals who abuse their fortunes to buy both influence and further their agendas, none of which are for the benefit of the American public. In the process, the rich grow richer and the rest, well, they simply exist, uncared for, unhealthy and poorer by the generation.

Kennedy intends to change this.

Future of Health, while not political by nature, cares deeply about the state of American healthcare and the myriad injustices visited on the disadvantaged. As the founder, I believe fervently that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is the best shot America has had in generations for bringing about real and meaningful change. To that end and despite the risk of alienating healthcare colleagues, I support his candidacy for 2024.

Future of Health will support his campaign by providing an additional platform for his message. One we hope America will heed. Despite all the censorship, despite all the negative publicity, we fervently hope you heed his words and consider what a man of truth and vision, rather than a politician, can mean for the future of America. If he succeeds he will be the first American President to be “truly elected by the people” in generations. That is real democracy.
